PLOT OF SEASON 1 AUDIO STORIES:

Nasso, nicknamed Wonder Kuker, finds himself at the centre of a kuker mystery.  He regularly demonstrates paranormal abilities in kuker shows  Being a former research scientist, Nasso tries to sneak a peek into the mystery, however this collides him with the interests of his family, the kuker group, as well as with someone's powerful influence…

References to the Bulgarian cultural heritage come naturally in the story, namely to the kuker custom and the mysterious in Bulgarian cultural tradition from the Ancient Thracians and Orpheus, through the clairvoyant Vanga, and to the White Brotherhood.

Images and sounds of kuker groups from  the Karlovo region are included in the podcast: Vasil Levski village, Domlyan village, Sushitsa district of Karlovo, and Kalofer town.

About
The Podcast

The audio stories of the podcast are interesting to anyone with a taste for cultural heritage in modern times and for eco living.

Especially for those learning Bulgarian as a foreign language, the podcast "Mysteries of the Valley of Roses and Thracian Rulers" is an opportunity to "absorb" the language in a context, similar to the perception of mother tongue in childhood.  The idea is based on Georgi Lozanov's Suggestopedia and Steven Krashen's "language acquisition hypothesis".

Each episode of the podcast comes with audio, text and video - in Bulgarian, English and Russian.

For beginners in Bulgarian, the parts of the stories are summarised and adaptively retold, in correspondence with  A1-B1 levels of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
